Tory Lanez’s Beef With Court Reporter Continues In Video Promo

Tory Lanez’s verified Instagram account shared a post promoting Alone At Prom (Deluxe), an extended version of his Alone At Prom album, with visuals depicting a caricatured animation of a court reporter Meghann Cuniff.

Cuniff became a well-known figure in the 2022 assault and firearm case brought against Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson. The reporter would often share commentary and analysis contradicting pro-Lanez reports coming out of the trial.

Meghann responded to the video on X, or Twitter, with a post asking, “Hmmm what do you all think? Me or nah.” She replied to her response, tweeting, “Meanwhile…” followed by a link to Megan Thee Stallion’s “Cobra” music video.

The animation making fun of Cuniff comes after reports suggested Peterson taunted Cuniff during a bail hearing in September of this year.

Cuniff acknowledged the reports two months ago, tweeting, “I didn’t hear it and I’m still working to see if [the] transcript has it, but I’ve confirmed Tory Lanez chose to use his final courtroom moments to profanely insult me, calling me ‘a googly-eyed b####’ as he looked at [the] gallery. Conflicting reports on whether he named me. A fitting end.”

Peterson was convicted by a jury in December 2022 of assaulting rapper Megan Thee Stallion, following the accusation that he shot her in the foot on July 12, 2020.

He is currently serving a 10-year sentence for having a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, assault with a semiautomatic handgun and gross negligence in discharging his firearm.
