Woman drops civil suit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Jay-Z

A woman who accused Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jay-Z of raping her when she was 13 years old has withdrawn her civil lawsuit. The woman claimed she was drugged and assaulted by the celebrities in 2000 after attending an after-party for the MTV Video Music Awards. The lawsuit was dropped with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled, and Jay-Z denied the allegations, calling them “frivolous” and “without merit.” Combs, who is currently in jail on federal sex trafficking charges, maintained his innocence and stated that the lawsuit was based on lies. The woman’s lawyer did not provide a reason for the withdrawal.
