Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is eligible for a Grammy nomination.
During a chat with TMZ, Harvey Mason Jr. talked about the chances the diss track has to snag a nomination.
“I think the voting members of the academy appreciate greatness,” said Mason Jr. “They appreciate what’s hot, what’s going on. That’s a relevant record that’s impacting on so many levels.”
Only two other diss records, LL Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out” won a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1992, and Drake’s “Back to Back” was nominated for Best Rap Performance in 2016.
Do you think “Not Like Us” should win a Grammy? Why of why not?
