Safaree opens up about the emotional impact of Nicki Minaj’s on-screen kiss with Nas in her 2012 music video, “Right By My Side,” revealing the personal hurt he felt from the incident.

During his appearance on the “Keep It A Stack Podcast,” Safaree shared his turmoil upon seeing the kiss, which occurred while they were still in a relationship.

“You wanna know what’s so crazy? I didn’t know it happened until the video came out,” he revealed, “N-gga, I was hurt. When that s_it happened, I was hurt. I was there the whole day, so I was like, ‘Damn. Did that happen when I left to go? I must’ve left for like an hour or two hours, and I think that’s when that scene happened, yo.”
