Killer Mike says that Jay-Z planned to have him on stage during the Grammys so Mike could give his Best Rap Album Award speech.

Killer Mike stated, “Man, what’s crazy is though, Jay was hitting me. I didn’t realize as I was going through my thing. Jay was hitting me like, ‘Hold on, stick around. I wanna toast to you.’ And then he hit me later saying, ‘I was gonna concede my time to you.’ Shouts out to Hov.”

He added, “It’s love, though. I appreciate it. [I got that text] after I got out. Me and him laughing. He said, ‘You want to go and get locked up in the biggest moment ever?!’ I was laughing. It was hilarious, man. You couldn’t do nothing but laugh.”
