Malia Obama will make her debut at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend.

The 25-year-old daughter of former President Barack Obama will screen The Heart, a short film she wrote and directed.

The film is about “a grieving son whose mother left him an unusual request in her will”, and was created under the name Malia Ann.

The Heart was previously named Best Live Action Short at the Chicago International Film Festival.
