With Drake’s new album dropping last week there is a good chance it hits Gold within a week, however the music industry still does not believe that his sound is going in the right direction for the genre.
On Monday, Juicy J and Wallo have blasted the state of rap from their own perspective, the Three 6 Mafia rapper showed off the downward spiral of stats with Million Dollarz Game cohost has called for the industry power players to just simply step it up.
Juicy has came out and has said that the rap music sales are down 40% and is purely up to rappers, composers, producers and engineers to fix it.
Juicy believes that they need the big players to make a huge hit as it has been a full year without a rap song going #1.
Wallo believes that fans are getting tired of the same themes in every rappers lyrics like murder, jewelry and cash.
He has also said that having big name features is not working as it used to and they need to start being good at rapping.
Rap failing has now become a pretty popular narrative with Xzibit and Layzie Bone all voicing very similar concerns.
