50 Cent’s Cognac Reaches Settlement In Legal Battle

The spat between 50 Cent and Rémy Martin has ended after the renowned liquor company reached a settlement in its legal battle over the rapper’s cognac bottle design.

New court documents acquired by TMZ state that Rémy Martin’s firm and 50 Cent’s company negotiated a settlement on June 1st but wanted the court to keep the details of the agreement under wraps.

The dispute began in August 2021 when Rémy Martin filed a federal court lawsuit in Manhattan against 50 Cent’s Spire Spirits, alleging that the rapper’s Branson cognac brand plagiarized their distinctive bottle design.

Rémy Martin asserted in the lawsuit that 50 Cent’s cognac imitated their renowned jewel-shaped glass bottle design.

Representatives for Rémy Martin told TMZ that the company respects 50 Cent’s debut into the cognac market and is happy that the trademark and patent battle has been resolved.
